What is the difference between emunah and bitachon? We are discussing it in tehillim class and I really don't understand it. I won't ask the teacher for help, because I keep failing all the test and midterms wehave had. I need help!!! I always thought they meant the same thing, but now I realized I was wrong. So like i know emunah is faith, but i don't know more. I know bitachon- is trust that there is a g-d. Please help me!! Thanx!!

Emunah means you believe in Hashem; Bitchon means you trust Him and rely on Him.
Two dofferent things. I can believe you exist (Emunah) but that doesnt mean that I think you are always takigncare of me, and that anything that happens to bme was the best for me because you said so.

Read Rabbi Akiva Tatz's book "The Thinking Jewish Teenager's Guide to Life," the chapter titled "Faith."
In a nutshell, he says that the definition of emunah is not faith; rather, faithfulness to that which I already know to be true.
