my father is giving me two pages of typing to do for his work.
he offered to pay a decent amount of money for typing what he needs to be typed.
is it disrespectful of me to accept the money he gladly offers me? because it makes it seem like i'm charging i wrong?
i didn't ask to be paid; he offered it.

the moderators aren't around as much as they used to be in regard to answering questions, and you don't know who anyone else is - so if you're asking about fact, that's one thing; but if it's about halacha, especially halacha where details probably matter, why don't you call a Rav where you live? (or even not where you live!)

OK, so it's so funny that you're asking that, because I never thought of that. I always grew up really pampered. I never thought that it might be a problem to take money for helping my dad out.

Firstly, it may make a difference if it's something that he'd pay someone else to do or if you're actually costing him.

Also, if he's offering you the money, maybe it's not really payment so much as just extra money he's giving you because you're his daughter? For example, my father-in-law works about a five minute walk from my house. On more than one occasion, he's offerred us a hundred bucks to walk over so he can see the baby (he's majorly baby obsessed). Obviously, I would never charge him a hundred bucks to see his grandson. But my husband just takes the money and neither of us feel bad because we know it's not really payment, he's just using it as an excuse to spoil us.

It's allowed if they want to pay you, which would generally be the case.
