Snowflake - I'm sorry, I don't, however... just wanted to say hello! :)
I was just today going to go and dig up that old thread, because I was thinking about you, and then I saw you here!
Hope you're doing well...

Well to put it straight, its a very interesting place. I been in that school for 3 years so far and there's a lot to say about the place. It is a yeshiva that basically works with levels (as supposed to years like most other yeshivas.) It has 12 Shiurim. The Rabbaim there are great and easy to get close to. The Bachrim in the Yeshiva are from all different backgrounds and walks of life. The yeshiva is run under "Plutchak, Rennert, and Yarmush inc." Basically saying the Yeshiva is run as a family business. The Hanhala compiles of all brothers in law and family. The actual yeshiva is a no-pressure place where they won't throw out a Bachur unless he stepped over the boundries like bringing videos and such. I have my mother over my head now so I got to go but if want more info you can give the office a call. I say it's a good place but for the right Bachor.

i went to derech chaim in 1990 and 1991. its a great yeshiva with an exceptional philosophy/hashkofa.rav pluchok and rav rennert have been the sine qua non of american roshei yeshiva.if a person were to be thinking about going to a yeshiva that is neither too "traditional" nor too "modern"but also frum and torah true then derech chaim is a yeshiva to go to.you can be a masmid or a lazy-bones but derech chaim will rub off on you!!!...this from a former bocher with very fond memories...hatzlacha.
